Skoda Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2025 Skoda Enyaq, which is due on sale in December 2024 priced from $69,990 plus on-road costs. To be offered only as a coupe with the traditional SUV bodystyle not due yet, the Enyaq was released in Europe in 2020 where almost 200,000 have been sold. Helping the Enyaq’s local sales chances further is that Skoda Australia has waited for an upgraded model with more range and power to better rival cars like the Tesla Model Y, Toyota bz4X and Subaru Solterra twins, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

“Australia’s BEV market is maturing rapidly and the Enyaq is an expression of that,” said Skoda Australia’s Head of Product and Marketing, Kieran Merrigan.

“Enyaq is a BEV that, especially with its recent upgrades, embodies the dimensions and inherent value that a Kodiaq, Superb or an Octavia RS customer has every right to expect in a Skoda.”

Under the body of the 2025 Skoda Enyaq is the same MEB platform that underpins cars like the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.5 – which are also due on sale in Australia soon – and all Australian-spec Enyaq models are equipped with an 82kWh (gross or 77kWh nett) lithium ion battery that gives the Sportline a claimed WLTP range of 561km and the more powerful RS slightly less at 530km.

The Enyaq can be charged at up to 175kW on a DC fast charger for a 10 to 80 per cent charge in as little as 28 minutes, while its maximum AC charging is 11kW for a 0 to 100 per cent charge in around eight hours. Both a three-pin socket cable and a Type 2 cable are included in the Enyaq’s purchase price.

Two drivetrains are available in the 2025 Skoda Enyaq: a 210kW/545Nm rear-wheel drive layout in the Sportline, and a 250kW/134Nm front and 545Nm rear dual-motor all-wheel drive layout in the RS. The Sportline sprints to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds, and the RS reduces that to 5.4 seconds.

Measuring 4,653mm long, 1,879mm wide, between 1,618 and 1,621mm tall and riding on a 2,765-2,766mm long wheelbase, the Enyaq is 46mm shorter in length than the first-generation Kodiaq. Its 570-litre bootspace opens up to 1,610L with the rear seats folded. The tare mass of the Sportline is 2,210kg with the RS weighing 80kg more at 2,290kg.
