Ahead of local deliveries commencing later this year, Skoda Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the 2025 Skoda Scala. A mid-life update for Skoda’s hatchback offering, the updated Scala introduces new styling, new features and a new model grade structure. Pricing starts at $32,490 drive away, which is $1,100 less than the pre-facelifted model.

As before, two turbocharged petrol engines will be offered in Australia: the ’85TSI’ 1.0-litre three-cylinder in the Select or the ‘110TSI’ 1.5-litre four-cylinder in the Monte Carlo, both paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Select is rated at 5.4L/100km for combined fuel consumption and the Monte Carlo slightly more at 5.6L/100km.

Compared with the pre-facelifted model, the Scala Select has lost adaptive cruise control and a driver’s knee airbag, but it’s gained dual-zone climate control, front parking sensors, wireless smartphone mirroring, gear shift paddles and drive mode selection. Compared to the pre-facelifted Signature, the Monte Carlo is $1,900 more expensive but has gained Matrix adaptive high beam, hands-free functionality for its electric tailgate and a 10-speaker sound system.
