Kia has just released pricing and specifications for its smallest EV yet, the 2025 Kia EV3. Set to launch later this month, this small EV is set to be the most affordable electric vehicle offered by the Korean manufacturer. Available in four trim levels, with both standard and extended range options, the Kia EV3 will start at $47,600 plus on road costs.

2025 Kia EV3

Offered to rival the likes of the Hyundai Kona Electric and the BYD Atto 3, the 2025 Kia EV3 offers up to 604km of WLTP range. Sitting on a modified version of the E-GMP platform seen in the Kia EV6 and EV9 the EV3 has 400-volt architecture and can charge at speeds up to 135kW on a DC charger. Power is always sent to the front wheels.

What powers the 2025 Kia EV3

Kicking off the range is the EV3 Air Standard Range which has a 58.3kWh lithium-ion battery with a single electric motor producing 150kW of power and 283Nm of torque. It has a WLTP range of 483km. Stepping up to the Air Long Range gains a larger 81.4kWh battery which has a WLTP range of 604km. The Earth Long Range and GT-Line both have a WLTP range of 563km.

A new iPedal 3.0 system has been introduced on the EV3 which enables one-pedal driving that adjusts the level of regenerative braking according to your preference to maximise efficiency and EV range. iPedal 3.0 settings will remain after restarting the vehicle and the system can also be operated in reverse.
