From December, the 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Double Cab Chassis will join the popular ute range in Australia. Aimed at giving Ranger buyers even more choice, the cab chassis version of the Ranger XLT will give buyers more options for personalisation such as larger trays and canopies to even better suit their lifestyles.
“Customers looking for Ranger’s high safety and equipment levels who want to add their own customised canopies or personalised tray set-up can now do so with far more ease,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia and New Zealand.
“Owners have told us that they want to save time and money with a ready-to-go, high-spec Ranger Cab Chassis that they can purchase straight off the showroom floor, and the 4×4 XLT Double Cab Chassis is here for these customers, be they tradespeople, adventurers or explorers.”
Reflecting the endless uses for utes, the 2020 Ford Ranger XLT Double Cab Chassis is the highest-grade Ranger Cab Chassis available. Standard kit includes 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen with inbuilt nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a tow bar with wiring and auto emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection.
Available drivetrains include a 147kW/470Nm 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo diesel with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, or a new 157kW/500Nm 2.0-liter bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel that’s mated exclusively to a 10-speed automatic. All 2020 Ford Ranger XLT models are four-wheel drive with a switchable on-the-fly mode selector.
