Following on from its international reveal, the 2021 BMW 5 Series sedan has been priced for Australia and arrives in showrooms come October.
For the 2021 model year, the 5 Series has been updated, bringing in a raft of subtle new features – including new headlights, grille, and tail-lights, along with improved tech such as a larger infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The engine range has also been revised, leading to power upgrades for most models.
The update also brings the demise of the 5 Series Touring wagon, meaning that there are now only six models in the new 5 Series line-up – in addition to the BMW M5 high performance sedan.
All 5 Series models now come standard with M Sport styling upgrades in Australia, which include 19-inch alloy wheels, M Sport suspension, BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line, sport seats, BMW Individual rooflining, M Aerodynamics Package, M leather steering wheel, M door sills, M designation on the front side panels, and tailpipe finishers in chrome with a trapezoidal design.
The 2021 BMW 5 Series range is now priced as follows:
- 520i starts from $95,900 (up $5000)
- 530i is $115,900 (up $3000)
- 530d is $125,900 (up $2600)
- 530e plug-in hybrid is $118,900 (up $6000)
- M550i xDrive Pure is $137,900 (up $3000)
- M550i xDrive is $152,900 (up $3000).
The 5 Series joins the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Jaguar XF and Audi A6 in the market.
