Australian pricing and specifications for the 2021 Kia Sorento have been announced ahead of the car’s local launch in September. Now sitting on Kia’s new ‘N3’ platform, the new Sorento features familiar drivetrains though a lot more standard features and available tech compared with the previous model – prices have risen by up to $3,880 as a result, however.
As before, the 200kW/332Nm 3.5-litre petrol V6 models of the 2021 Kia Sorento will drive the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic and the 148kW/440Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel models will send power through all four wheels via another eight-speed automatic, this time a dual-clutch unit.
