Hyundai Australia has added a new available model to its Palisade large SUV range with the 2022 Hyundai Palisade on sale next month. The entry point to the range has dropped from $61,000 to $55,000 plus on-road costs, while the company has also snuck a new Elite variant in between the base Palisade and top-spec Highlander. Sitting above the Santa Fe seven-seat SUV, the Palisade is the flagship Hyundai SUV globally and has only been on sale in Australia for around six months.

“Palisade has been revised to provide an even more enticing large SUV flagship for 2022, with a more accessible range-entry model, value-packed new Elite, and enhanced Highlander,” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer Jun Heo said.

“Palisade continues to deliver an enticing blend of smart technologies and luxury features, in a seven- or eight-seater SUV package that is ideal for Australian families,” he said.

As before, the 2022 Hyundai Palisade offers two drivetrains: a 217kW/355Nm 3.8-litre V6 or a 147kW/440Nm 2.2-litre turbo-diesel. The V6 is front-wheel drive only, while the diesel is all-wheel drive. Both drivetrains are matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Combines fuel consumption is rated at 10.7L/100km for the V6 and 7.3L/100km for the diesel.
