Chery Motors Australia has announced that the 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max will be launched locally in April 2024. To compete against cars like the Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan X-Trail, the seven-seat Tiggo 8 Pro Max will sit above the existing Tiggo 7 Pro and Omoda 5 SUVs in the Chery range. Pricing is yet to be confirmed, but it will likely sit above the $39,990 drive away Tiggo 7 Pro.
Lucas Harris, Managing Director, Chery Australia stated “We are delighted to introduce the Tiggo 8 Pro Max to the Australian market. This modern and innovative 7-seat family SUV expands the Chery range in Australia and is set to deliver a premium motoring experience”.
Sitting above the existing Tiggo 7 Pro – which it looks quite similar to – the 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max will be offered in three models: the entry-level Urban FWD, mid-spec Elite FWD and top-spec Ultimate AWD. Judging from the smaller Tiggo 7 Pro, standard equipment on even the entry-level Urban will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting and climate control air-conditioning.
All three models will feature a 180kW/375Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Fuel consumption figures are yet to be revealed.
The 2024 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max will launch locally in April 2024, with local pricing and specifications to be confirmed before then. Stay tuned to DiscoverAuto for the latest automotive news and reviews.
