Ahead of a mid-2024 Australian release, the 2024 Genesis G80 facelift has been revealed sporting updated styling, new technology and a new dashboard layout. These changes keep the G80 fresh against competition, according to the brand, and the upgrades embody the brand’s “athletic elegance” design philosophy. As before, both regular and Sport versions of the G80 will be available – the latter with sportier exterior styling and sporting themes.
The exterior design changes for the 2024 Genesis G80 are subtle, but keep the car fresh in the market. There is a new 20-inch alloy wheel design, while the grille has been restyled and the LED headlights now feature Micro Lens Array adaptive technology. There’s also a new rear bumper design with hidden exhaust tips.
The G80 Sport remains available, and features different wheels, grille design, larger air intakes and sportier looking bumpers. The company has added a new ‘Brooklyn Brown’ exterior colour as well.
Inside the 2024 Genesis G80 is a new dashboard layout, new technology and a more modern look. The former twin 12.3-inch driver and 14.5-inch central screens have been replaced by one new 27-inch OLED display, which can – again – by controlled by either touch or a control wheel on the centre console.
The centre console layout is also new, with a new design for greater practicality, as well as new touch controls for the heating and ventilation system. The rotary gear selector has been restyled too, while there’s also a new steering wheel design.
The company is yet to reveal if there are any changes to the powertrain lineup, which currently consists of 2.5-litre and 3.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines, as well as the fully electric Electrified G80, which is yet to be revealed.
The 2024 Genesis G80 is due in Australian showrooms from mid-2024. Stay tuned to DiscoverAuto for the latest automotive news and reviews.
