General Motors Australia and New Zealand has announced Australian pricing for the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV, ahead of the first deliveries commencing before the end of 2024. Priced from $117,000 plus on-road costs, the Lyriq undercuts its main German competition on pricing and will be offered in two specifications, both of which share the same 388kW dual-motor all-wheel drive drivetrain, 102kWh battery and claimed 530km WLTP range. The launch of the Lyriq is the first time that Cadillac has officially been sold locally.

“Lyriq sets the standard for the future of Cadillac in the region, and we are thrilled to be officially taking customer orders this month.” said Jess Bala, Managing Director GM Australia and New Zealand.

“The Lyriq is the perfect vehicle to launch the Cadillac brand in Australia and New Zealand. It delivers a uniquely Cadillac experience, with the refined luxury and technology that the brand is famous for around the world.”

Sitting on GM’s ‘Ultium’ EV platform, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq will only be offered with a 388kW/610Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive drivetrain in Australia initially that draws power from a 102kWh lithium-ion battery. The claimed WLTP range for the Lyriq is 530km, while it can be DC charged at up to 190kW for a 200km range top up in as little as 15 minutes. It can be charged at up to 22kW on an AC charger and its claimed energy consumption is 22.5kWh/100km.

Measuring 4,996mm long, 1,977mm wide, 1,623mm tall and riding on a 3,094mm long wheelbase, the Lyriq is sized quite similarly to the BMW iX, which is 4,953mm long, 1,967mm wide and 1,695mm tall. Its boot measures 793-litres with the rear seats up and 1,722L with the rear seats folded.
