Honda Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the refreshed 2025 Honda Civic, which is due in local Honda showrooms soon. Priced from $49,900 drive away, the entry price of the Civic range has climbed thanks to the addition of standard equipment and that the formerly-top-spec-only 2.0-litre hybrid drivetrain now features in the entry-level model as well, making the non-Type R Civic range only available as a hybrid locally for the first time.
Honda Australia’s Vice President and Director, Ms. Carolyn McMahon said, “Since the launch of the first-generation Honda Civic in Australia over 50 years ago, it has earned a strong customer following, spanning across generations of Honda loyalists.”
“This newly updated Honda Civic delivers the sleek silhouette and sporty performance that our customers know and love all whilst keeping in line with its legacy of introducing innovative technology with Google built-in as standard.”
A light update for the Civic range, the 2025 Honda Civic lineup has received lightly revised styling with new front and rear bumpers and alloy wheel designs, while the interior has also been upgraded with a new infotainment system now featuring Google software and features like Google Maps navigation and access to the Google Play Store to download apps.
Now standard across the regular 2025 Honda Civic lineup, the 2.0-litre hybrid system makes 135kW of power and 315Nm of torque and is mated to an e-CVT transmission with stepped ratios. The claimed fuel consumption for the Civic range is 4.2L/100km – not far off its main rival, the Toyota Corolla hybrid – which produces less power at 103kW.
