Skoda Australia has released local pricing and specifications for the updated 2025 Skoda Octavia RS, which is due in local Skoda showrooms in March priced from $62,990 drive away. Revealed a year ago and with the entry-level Octavia Select already on sale, the mid-life facelift for Skoda’s hot mid-size liftback and wagon has introduced revised styling, more performance and more kit.
Skoda Australia product manager Glenn Reid said the Octavia RS continues to be the go-to choice for Australian families wanting the ideal blend of space and performance.
“Skoda continues to be a ‘unique service provider’ of attainable and intelligent medium-sized passenger cars with the Octavia, and the RS likewise delivers as a fast sedan or wagon like no other model in the market,” Mr Reid said.
The updated Octavia also sports revised front and rear bumpers for sportier styling, as well as updated front and rear lighting units, new alloy wheel designs, and updated Skoda badging.
Inside, the Octavia receives a new 13-inch touchscreen – up from 10-inches in current models – running the brand’s latest infotainment system. The USB-C ports are now capable of charging at 45-watts, while the wireless charger can now charge at 15-watts and now features ventilation.
Under the bonnet of the Octavia RS is the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine as before, though with a new ‘Budack’ combustion cycle for improved efficiency and a new sports exhaust system for a richer sound. Outputs have grown to 195kW (+15kW) and 370Nm (unchanged), while the 0-100km/h time has dropped to 6.4 seconds (liftback) and 6.5 seconds (wagon).
Priced from $62,990 drive away for the liftback and $64,490 drive away for the wagon, Octavia RS pricing has climbed $6,000 but the previously optional $6,600 Premium Package is now standard equipment. According to Skoda, some 80 per cent of buyers chose this package, leading to its standard fitment.
That means that previously-optional features such as electric front seats with massaging and memory functionality, heated front and rear seats, tri-zone climate control, a head-up display, adaptive suspension and a 12-speaker Canton sound system are now standard.
Skoda has also added a heated steering wheel and windscreen, a 360-degree camera, “second-generation” Matrix adaptive high beam and automatic parking to the equipment list.
