The new second-generation 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is nearly in showrooms. From a brand known from its practicality and clever touches, this new seven-seat SUV promises to offer great value for money and high levels of user friendliness. Let’s find out more about the new Skoda Kodiaq range.
Offered in three variants at launch with a fourth to follow, there is a Kodiaq for everyone. Starting with the new Select variant (which replaces the outgoing Style) then stepping up to the Sportline and then onto the range topping Launch Edition. The Launch Edition will only be offered at launch and though there are a limited number of examples available, Skoda said they can allocate more if the demand is there. The Kodiaq RS will be offered in the second half of 2025.
Powering the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq lineup is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine that produces 140kW of power and 320Nm of torque (8kW more but the same torque). It can sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.2-seconds (0.2 seconds faster than before) and, as before, requires premium unleaded fuel. The only transmission on offer is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and is paired with an all-wheel drive system like before.

With all seven seats in place, there is 289-litres (19L more than previous model), fold the third row down and this opens up to 794L (29L more) and folding the second row down reveals a large 2,035L (30L more), which is more than rivals like the Mazda CX-80, Toyota Kluger, Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe.
